Woot! Blogging!

Never done a blog before, but I had been considering doing one while in England this summer, and felt inspired by Brook and Kyle starting theirs, so here I am!

I'll be doing a work abroad program in England this summer! I don't know what job I'll end up with yet; I guess most of the people that do this program don't look for jobs until they get there. Most people don't know where they'll be living until after they get there as well, but I'll be living in Colchester, Essex. A guildie (yes, I play World of Warcraft) that I've grown fairly close to is going to give me a good deal on rent! Fingers crossed I can get a job at the Colchester Zoo. Seriously, how sweet would that be?! I'll be in England until mid-July, when I must return to the US for a week to be a bridesmaid in my brother's wedding! Craziness! Chris is getting married! Anyway, assuming that I manage to earn enough money to afford some more airfare and that I'm still keen on the idea, then I'll go back to England until the end of August.

I'm currently in the middle of a bit of an academic crisis, otherwise known as suffering the consequences of severe procrastination. I've got a ridiculous amount of work to do, and only 9 days to do it in. This means that I'm also experiencing some serious WoW withdrawal! gib wow plx!

In addition to schoolwork, I'm helping out with a dance production this week, which means 3-4 hours of rehearsal a night! I have no idea why I thought I would have this much spare time right at the end of the semester....I'm such an idiot. The show is pretty cool though. It's running in Cordiner this Friday and Saturday.

Today, I had class, then went and practiced piano, had my lesson, and practiced some more. All in all, I spent just about 3 hours in a row playing piano. My back was so sore when I got home! This coupled with the tiredness from only having slept 3 hours in the last 2 nights (told you I was suffering the consequences of procrastination!) left me....less than enthusiastic about the prospect of cooking dinner. I walked into the kitchen and opened the pantry to hear "Have some pizza!" from the dining room. Omg, Nick's dad bought our house like 4 pizzas! Delightful man, that Terrel.
About my 5 housemates then...
Madeline: my facebook wife, lover, and all around amazing woman
Nicole: roomie from freshman year, master baker of cookies
Katie: next door neighbor freshman year, gets to count snake scales in Belgium this summer
Nick: no longer a music major, but still pretty cool : P
Adrienne: makes movies!

Right, so Nick and Adrienne will be moving out this summer and 2 other girls will be moving in: Shana, who is awesome, and I can't remember the other girl's name at the moment! Sorry what's-your-face, wherever you are!

This summer Nicole will be doing an internship in Oregon, Katie will be in Belgium and I'll be in England, so Madeline will be chillin in the house on her own, sad! She does get to work at the Green, though, which probably makes up for it.

Anyway, that'll have to do for a life update for now.
Tchau!
